CPN (Maoist Centre) candidates emerged victorious in chief and deputy chief of Likhupike Rural Municipality in Solukhumbu district.
Maoist candidate Dambar Bahadur Basnet has been elected as rural municipality chief by garnering 1,136 votes, while his nearest rival NC candidate Ram Bahadur Basnet polled 760 votes.
Maoist candidate Sharmila Basnet was elected as vice-chairperson of the rural municipality with 1,042 votes.
