Defying the silence period that came into effect from Sunday midnight, the supporters of Raut have appealed the general public to refrain from voting in favour of any candidate.
They have started door-to-door campaign and also started giving training to the people of Ramgram Municipality, Palhinandan, Sarawal and Pratappur Village Councils to cast their votes outside the election symbol.
The supporters of Raut, five days ago, had launched a door-to-door campaign with a slogan “We accept elections, but we do not accept candidates”.
Meanwhile, Election Commission spokesperson Surya Prasad Sharma said that there is no provision of ‘Right to no vote’ in Nepal.
