Police defused two bombs found at the residences of Nepali Congress and CPN-UML candidates at Bhojpur on Tuesday.
District Police Office DSP Kaji Kumar Acharya informed that the bomb squad of the police carried out controlled explosion of socket bombs found at the residences of NC ward chairman candidate Prem Bhandari in Siddheshwor, Bhojpur Municipality-4 and CPN-UML mayoral candidate Indra Kumar Shrestha in Boya, Sadhanand Municipality-13.
The police are yet to identify the persons responsible for planting the bombs.
