A socket bomb was found at Naura Gaun in Aamdhara of Jayaprithvi Municipality-6, Bajhang district on Wednesday.
According to the police, the bomb might have been planted by the Nepal Army during the decade-long Maoist insurgency.
Inspector Ram Bahadur Chand of the District Police Office, Bajhang, said that a bomb disposal team of the Nepali Army has already defused the bomb.
Locals had informed the police after they saw the explosive device inside the bush.
