He said so while addressing an election assembly in his home town in Damak on Tuesday.
The former Prime Minister claimed that he will make Damak a number one city of the country, whether or not he gets the chance to take the government reins.
He said that projects like country’s first private industrial park, world’s largest Buddha statue, view tower and construction of country’s largest city hall in Damak are already in the cup.
Oli also said that the first investment of One Belt One Road initiative of Chinese government will begin from Jhapa.
He said that Damak will be recognised for cultural and religious tourism with the construction of world’s largest Buddha statue.
Leader Oli also declared that there will be no more squatters’ problem in Damak in the coming years.
He said Rs830 million has been allocated for the construction of embankments at Mawa and Ratuwa rivers that have threatened the local communities.
Speaking at the same programme, industrialist Bhaskarraj Rajkarnikar said that the industrial park being constructed in Jhapa will not only attract internal investment but will fetch foreign investors as well.
According to Rajkarnikar, the industrial park will be completed by 1920 as per the agreement reached with the Chinese government.
