Former State Minister for Science, Technology and Environment Indra Prasad Dhungel passed away on Monday. He was 83.
He had long been suffering from cancer and died during the course of at the Chabahil-based Om Hospital and Research Centre, Kathmandu.
Dhungel was affiliated with the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP).
He had served as the State Minister in the government led by Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal.
The last rites of Dhungel were performed as per Vedic traditions at the Pashupati Aryaghat in Kathmandu on Tuesday.
