Earlier on Wednesday, a meeting between the ruling parties and RJP-N had ended inconclusively.
At today's meeting, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, RJP-N leaders Mahanta Thakur, Sharat Singh Bhandari, and Mahendra Rae Yadav among others are present.
However, the leaders of main opposition CPN-UML are not present in the meeting as the party’s standing committee meeting is underway at Chairman KP Sharma Oli’s residence.
The RJP-N has taken a stance of not participating in the upcoming local polls unless their demands including constitution amendment, and increment of local units in Tarai are addressed.
