Two people were injured when a clash ensued between police and Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal (RJP-N) cadres at Kadmaha in Saptari district along the East-West Highway on Wednesday.
Two RJP-N cadres—Shubhaklal mahato and Bisheswor Mahato—were injured after police retaliated during the clash, informed Koderwana Area Police Office Inspector Rajendra Prasad Yadav.
The clash occurred after the RJP-N cadres pelted stones at a bus carrying police personnel deployed for local level elections at Solukhumbu and Khotang districts by the Eastern Region Police Office. The police personnel got out of the vehicle and retaliated in bid to disperse the mob.
Meanwhile, the injured Mahato duo are receiving medical treatment at Lahan Hospital, informed police.
