RJP-N senior vice chairman Mrigendra Kumar Singh Yadav and joint general secretary Gajendra Mandal were holding the national flag while picketing at Mahendra Bindeshwori Multiple Campus in district headquarters Rajbiraj, where RJP-N cadres took control of over 55 election officers while they were about to begin an election-related training programme.
“We are also the citizens of the country and no one has to teach us about nationalism,” said leader Yadav, “This flag is also our pride and that’s why we are carrying it.”
Local administration has deployed numbers of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force personnel in the area following the detention of election officers and protests.
