Army steps up patrol following anti-poll activities in Saptari
Nepal Army personnel have been deployed in the field after the increasing anti-election activities of the agitating Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal (RJP-N) in various Tarai districts.Nepal Army personnel have been deployed in the field after the increasing anti-election activities of the agitating Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal (RJP-N) in various Tarai districts.
About 50 NA personnel reached the incident site where RJP-N cadres took control of over 55 election officers while the officers were about to begin an election-related training programme at Mahendra Bindeshwori Multiple Campus in district headquarters Rajbiraj, on Wednesday.

However, the local administration has not issued any official statement regarding the deployment of the army.

Meanwhile, the NA personnel in the site barred mediapersons from taking their photographs. The NA team patrolled the north side of the campus for around 10 minutes and left.

Local administration has deployed numbers of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force personnel in the area following the incident.
