EC won’t back down from elections now: CEC Yadav

Speaking at an interaction programme organised by the Reporters Club on Tuesday, CEC Yadav said that election will be held on June 28 at any cost adding that no one should express opinions against the polls.
“The EC will not back down an inch from the elections now and elections will be held in the remaining four provinces in a single phase,” said CEC Yadav, “The EC has completed its preparations regarding the upcoming polls.”
CEC Yadav, during the programme, informed that all election related materials have reached the poll-bound districts and preparations for the elections have been vompleted.
Likewise, CEC Yadav further opined that if the government decides to increase the number of local units then it will be impossible to hold elections on the added local bodies. He also urged the parties boycotting the elections, not to deprive the people from their voting rights.
