Former Prime Minister and coordinator of Naya Shakti Party has remarked that it is possible amend the constitution instantly and bring all the agitating political parties on board the election. He added the government should have self-will to do so.

Talking to journalists in Biratnagar on Monday, leader Bhattarai alleged that everyone was involved in the game of sowing conflict. “How could it be not be possible to amend constitution in one day while the Political Parties Act could be amended in a day?” said leader Bhattarai, adding, “The government can resolve the conflict by amending the constitution through minimum agreement by holding talks with Rastriya Janata Party Nepal and CPN-UML and bring all the parties on board the elections.”

He went on to accuse the government of working in an irresponsible manner. “The government is attempting to resolve the problems in instalments instead of settling the whole issue at once,” said leader Bhattarai.

The Rastriya Janata Party should move ahead by taking the issues of minimum agreement mentioned in the constitution instead of boycotting the elections.
