A meeting held under the chairmanship of Party Coordinator Mahanta Thakur announced fresh anti-election protest programmes after the party failed to reach to a consensus with the government.
Earlier, today morning, the ruling parties— Nepali Congress and CPN (Maoist Centre)— held a meeting with RJP-N at Singha Durbar that ended inconclusively which led to the latter's decision to go for protest.
Meanwhile, the government registered amendment bill of the Registration of Political Parties Act in a bid to bring aboard the agitating RJP-N for the polls.
CPN (MC) leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha said that the government is preparing to amend the Act within two days.
Meanwhile, the Legislature Parliament today had endorsed the first amendment bill related to political parties in a bid to grant election symbol to Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal for phase II poll.
