Two persons were kidnapped on their way to Salyan from Dang district on Friday night.
An unidentified armed group kidnapped Raj Kumar Shrestha of Tulsipur and Rana Bahadur Gharti of Ghorahi, police said. Shrestha is the owner of Butwal Cloth Store in Tulsipur.
Police said Gharti’s vehicle was travelling ahead of Shrestha’s when the kidnappers threw stones to stop it. The kidnappers then forced Gharti into Shrestha’s vehicle and drove away, according to Superitendent of Police Dhiraj Pratap Singh.
Shrestha’s vehicle (Ba 12 Cha 1071) was found abandoned at Sheetal Bazaar in Salyan district. Gharti was travelling in a vehicle with an Indian licence number when he was kidnapped, said SP Singh, adding that an investigation was on. (PR)
