Speaking at the Legislature-Parliament meeting in New Baneshwor on Friday, leader Yadav said that his party has been supporting the government on every issue of the nation, but the government has not implemented the three-point pact signed with them yet.
He further said the RJPN will take part in the second phase of local polls only if the government guarantees the passage of a revised constitution amendment bill, withdraws false cases lodged against cadres of the agitating forces and increase the number of local units in Madhes.
“The country will head towards conflict if the government did not address the RJPN’s demand,” Yadav said, adding, “The main opposition CPN-UML and the ruling parties should take responsibility for the same.”
Moreover, he said that it is the responsibility of the Prime Minister and Nepali Congress to rope in RJPN in the elections.
“The RJPN’s demands should be taken as a national issue and should be resolved at the earliest,” Yadav added.
Meanwhile, he congratulated Deuba, who is also the president of Nepali Congress, on his election as the new executive head of the country and wished for a successful tenure.
