Chief Election Commissioner Ayodhi Prasad Yadav has said that the second phase of local level elections slated for June 28 would not be postponed under any circumstances.

Speaking to media persons in Biratnagar on Friday, CEC Yadav said that the elections date would be not postpone under any pretext as the process for the polls has already been moved ahead.

Yadav urged everyone to help in making the second phase of local polls successful.

He made it clear that the Rastriya Janata Party Nepal (RJPN) would not get electoral symbol as the name of the party has not been registered in the Election Commission.

On a different note, Yadav said that the act of tearing ballot papers in Bharatpur Metropolitan City was against the democratic norms.

He also urged all the political parties to abide by the democratic norms and not to indulge in criminal activities.
