Baitadi
Electric power supply has been severed after seven transformers at different locations were damaged in lightning strikes here in Baitadi district.
The lightning strikes accompanied with heavy rainfall on Monday and Tuesday destroyed three transformers in Dehimadaun, three in Srikedar and one in Gurukhola, Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Baitadi Distribution Centre Chief, Rajendra Lal Dev said.
The 33 – kV power line along Attariya – Baitadi and 11 – kV line in Baitadi – Anarkholi have also snapped.
The NEA has started repair and maintenance of the transformers and power lines after identifying the locations. RSS
