Yarsagumba collector killed in Darchula avalanche

A yarsagumba picker was killed in an avalanche at Api Himal Rural Municipality-1 of Darchula on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Dhaul Singh Bohara, 48, of Chanaulpani of Purchyaudi Municipality-3.
According to the District Police Office, Darchula, six persons were injured in the incident.
Among the injured, Janak Dhami of Chanaulpani, 21, is in critical condition, said police.
He is receiving treatment at a hospital in Gokuleshwor. He has sustained multiple injuries in different parts of his body.
They had gone to the highlands to collect yarsagumba, a unique caterpillar-fungus– also called Himalayan Viagra owing to its aphrodisiac properties. RSS
