CPN-UML has withdrawn its Chitwan shutdown programme after mounting public pressure.

The UML had announced to enforce Chitwan shutdown on Thursday to put pressure to resume the stalled vote count in Bharatpur Metropolis.

There was a widespread criticism of UML on social media for enforcing shutdown against its earlier promise to not resort to strike for protest. RSS
