Two cadres of the CPN (Maoist Centre), who were arrested on charge of tearing ballot papers at the vote counting centre in Bharatpur Metropolitan City on Sunday night, have been released on bail on Thursday.
A single bench of district judge Basudev Paudel this afternoon issued the order to release Madhu Neupane and Drone Shivakoti. The bench has sought Rs 100,000 from each as the bail amount.
Vote counting was stalled after the representatives of Maoist Centre allegedly tore the ballot papers while the counting for Bharatpur Metropolitan City-19 was underway.
