Kathmandu
Indian Ambassador to Nepal Manjeev Singh Puri has urged the leaders of Rastriya Janata Party Nepal (RJPN) to take part in the second phase of local level elections slated for June 23.
Ambassador Puri on Tuesday morning invited the leaders of RJPN to his office in Lainchaur and urged them to focus on the elections.
He urged the leaders to participate in the elections and establish their agendas.
Saying that there is a slim chance of amending the constitution as demanded by the RJPN at the present, Ambassador Puri urged the leaders to focus on elections rather than resorting to protests.
RJPN Chairman Mahantha Thakur, Sharad Singh Bhandari, Rajendra Mahato and Anil Jha, among other leaders, were present in the meeting.
