Budget for local bodies: Over Rs 1 billion allocated to three metropolis
The government has allocated over Rs one billion budget each to three metropolis—Kathmandu, Pokhara Lekhnath and Bharatpur—for the next fiscal year.
The government has allocated over Rs one billion budget each to three metropolis—Kathmandu, Pokhara Lekhnath and Bharatpur—for the next fiscal year.
Of the four metropolitan, Kathmandu has got the highest budget allocation of Rs1.88 billion, followed by Pokhara Lekhnath (Rs1.82 billion), Bharatpur (Rs1.33 billion) and Lalitpur (Rs842 million).
Of the 13 sub-metropolitan, the government has allocated the highest budget of Rs936.75 million to Ghorahi of Dang, followed by Hetauda (Rs835.66 million), Biratnagar (Rs813.29 million), Tulsipur (Rs795.74 million) and Birgunj (Rs766.95 million).
