President Bidhya Devi Bhandari has called upon the political parties represented in the Legislature-Parliament to elect a new Prime Minister through political consensus within seven days.
The President issued the call as per the Article 298 (1) of the Constitution of Nepal and asked the newly elected Prime Minister to form a new Cabinet, a statement issued by spokesperson at president’s office Mohan Prasad Wagle.
The PM post has been lying vacant after incumbent PM Pushpa Kamal Dahal stepped down from the post on Wednesday.
