A rescue team spotted the body of a missing mountain guide on Tuesday. Ang Nima Sherpa, 30, of Chaurikharka-3 in Solukhumbu had gone missing while descending from Mt Dhaulagiri on Sunday.
According to Nirajan Ghimire, liaison officer at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Sherpa’s body was spotted some 100 metres below the regular route in the area at the altitude above 8,000 metres.
“The helicopter pilot on the rescue mission spotted the body. But the rescuers could not lift the body as it was lying in a difficult place,” said Ghimire.
