The Legislature-Parliament meeting rescheduled for 7 pm on Tuesday has been postponed for 11 am on Wednesday.
Issuing a notice, the Parliament Secretariat postponed the meeting after the main opposition CPN-UML warned of obstructing the House business over the government’s move to increase the number of local units in a dozen of Tarai districts.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal was scheduled to address the Parliament today.
With the initiative of Speaker Onsari Gharti Magar, top leaders of three major political parties held a meeting this evening to resume the House proceedings.
The meeting, however, failed to arrive at consensus on the same.
