Vote counting of Bharatpur Metropolitan City has resumed from Saturday morning. The vote counting was put off from Friday evening amid protests from the cadres of Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP).
An all-party meeting held this morning decided to resume the vote counting and finish the counting soon.
The agitating Maoist cadres had resorted to protests accusing irregularities in the counting. They claimed that the election commissioner didn’t unveil the number of valid and invalid votes while making public the data.
