Voting resumes in Doramba, Ramechhap after three hours of halt

Voting has resumed at Kalika Bhagwati Polling Centre in Punchet of Doramba Village Council in Ramechhap district after it was halted for three hours following a clash between cadres of ruling Nepali Congress and CPN (Maoist Centre).
The police had fired tear gas and opened fire on air to control the situation. Two persons were arrested in connection to the incident.
According to Prem Chandra Bhusal, election officer at the polling centre, the voting was suspended for three hours after 167 people cast their vote.
The voting in remaining places in the district is going smoothly according to Chief District Officer Surya Bahadur Khatri.
