Some voters have been injured as an unidentified person opened fire at Gairmudi polling centre in Baitwoshwor area of Dolakha in the early morning on Sunday, Police said.
District Police Chief of Dolakha Rabin Karki said that bullets were fired with an intent to capture the polling booth.
Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Centre) all blamed each other for the incident and claimed that the injured voters were their cadres.
Likewise, tussle among the cadres of the political parties erupted at the Jhule-based polling centre of Tamakoshi Village Council in the early morning before voting began.
The voting has not yet started at Aalambu area of Bigu village due to confrontation among the cadres of parties on Saturday night.
