The local level elections slated for May 14 has been put off in Dhulikhel Municipality Ward-12 following the demise of ward member candidate Suku Lal Tamang.
According to District Election Commissioner Madhukar Prasad Pokharel, the election has been rescheduled for May 17 in the Ward-12.
“Nomination filing, complaint registration, publishing final list of the names and providing electoral symbol, among other works, will be conducted on Friday by issuing a notice,” said Pokharel, adding, “The voting process will start after the completion of elections on May 17.”
According to a preliminary investigation, Tamang died due to excessive consumption of alcohol.
