Sleuths deployed from the Metropolitan Police Crime Division (MPCD) arrested six Chinese in possession of a huge cache of illegal foreign currencies worth Rs 47.56 million from Nagdhunga of the Capital on Wednesday.
Police have not disclosed the names of the suspects yet.
According to SP Prakash Jung Karki, the Chinese citizens were arrested from a vehicle while they were heading to China via Kathmandu.
Police said that they have confiscated 4.9 million USD, 14, 400 Chinese Yuan, 3.1 million Japanese Yen, 2,200 Swiss Franc, 1,400 Australian dollar, 1,100 Pound Sterling and Rs 24, 600 from their possession. RSS
