Cadres of CPN (Maoist Centre) and CPN-UML clashed in Musikot, Rukum leaving three injured. Police had to fire three rounds of bullet in the air to disperse the agitated crowd, informed District Police Office Inspector Thaman Bahadur Rajali.

One police sub inpector—Som Bahdur Basel, one temporary police—Gopal Batala and one UML cadre—Sarbir Pariyar, were injured in a clash that took place at Mathigaun, Saankh in Musikot municipality-7.

According to the police, Basel and Batala have sustained injuries to their leg while Pariyar received injuries to his head. All three of them are receiving medical treatment at Rukumeli Community Hospital.

Both parties are trading blames at one another for causing the clash.

Earlier, on Tuesday, NC and CPN (Maoist Centre) cadres clashed with one another at Sanibheri Village Council where police had to fire two wounds of bullets in the air.
