The Election Commission (EC) has summoned top leaders of the political parties to discuss the preparations for the upcoming Local Level Elections.
The meeting slated to be held at EC office at 4pm will hold discussions on the election preparations, compliance of election code of conduct, voters’ education, mutual agreement and dialogue between the political parties, said EC officials. The EC has said the preparations for the first phase of local level elections.
The first-phase of local-level election is going to be held in all local units of 34 districts in the provinces no. 3, 4 and 6.
The meeting comes in the wake of reports of clashes between the cadres of major political parties in various places.
Earlier on Tuesday, a CPN-UML cadre was killed in a clash with the cadres of CPN (Maoist Centre).
