A complaint has been filed with the police over a group named 'Tiger Group', which is accused of intimidating local voters, political party cadres and obstructing the election publicity campaigns in Jungu. Tamang, who was killed in the clash, is learnt to be affiliated with the 'Tiger Group'.
UML alleges govt of misusing police to shield attackers
CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said that the government is trying to foil the election environment by creating an atmosphere of fear.
Chairman Oli expressed concern over the inactiveness of the police in the investigation of the incident.

Speaking during a programme organised by UML publicity department in the Capital on Wednesday, Chairman Oli said, “A UML cadre was chased and killed, many sustained injuries and the police have failed to arrest the Maoist Centre cadres involved in the incident. This act is extreme misuse of police force by the government.”
The UML Chair further said that the police administration did not take any action even when the locals, after the incident, had detained the alleged attackers.
