A Nepali Congress (NC) candidate for the local level elections has died after he slipped and fell on the ground in Salyan district.

The deceased has been identified as Dal Bahadur Rana.
Rana had filed his nomination for ward member of Kumakha Malika Rural Municipality-1 in the district.
Police said that he breathed his last during the course of treatment at a hospital in Lucknow, India.

Meanwhile, a candidate for the May 14 local level elections died after being hit by a lightning at Kalika Municipality-11 in Chitwan district on Tuesday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Siphal Praja.
Critically injured in the incident, Praja breathed his last on the way to the College of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital in Bharatpur.
Praja, 39, had filed his candidacy from CPN (Maoist Center) for a ward member of the municipality. RSS
