The Election Commission has said that the reporters bearing the press pass issued by the Department of Information (DoI) can only collect news of voting and vote counting.
EC Spokesperson Surya Prasad Sharma said that the EC has not issued any separate press pass to media persons to collect news of the local level elections slated for May 14.
Journalists can collect news, visual and photos of the concerned polling centre as per the permission of concerned chief election officer, election officer, voting officer and vote counting officer on the day of voting and the vote counting. RSS
