Banke
Police on Friday rescued six young women from a hotel in Kohalpur, Banke, and arrested three persons on human trafficking charge.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Suresh Prasad Kafle said the traffickers—Manoj KC, Darshan Khadka and Gauri Chaudhary—were taking the women to India, promising them employment in Kuwait.
Two other suspects are at large, Kafle added.
One of the women said that they were told by their agent that their visas for Kuwait were being issued from India.
They had travelled to Nepalgunj in a bus and were preparing to leave for India when the police team raided their hotel and rescued them.
The women are currently staying at a shelter home run by a social organisation.
