Maoist Centre mayoral candidate withdraws nomination in Pokhara

Bishwo Prakash Lamichhane took back his nomination following a deal to forge electoral alliance between Nepali Congress (NC) and CPN (Maoist Centre).
The Maoist Centre had decided to help the NC to make the latter’s mayor candidate victorious in the local level elections from Pokhara Metropolitan City.
According to NC Kaski President Krishna KC, the Maoist Centre had decided to take back the nomination of the party mayor candidate and support the NC but both the parties had reached central agreement to keep their deputy mayor candidates intact.
Saraswoti Gurung and Goma Dahal had filed their nominations for the posts of deputy mayor from NC and Maoist Centre respectively.
