The CPN-UML has picked Hari Krishna Byanjankar for the post of mayor in Lalitpur to contest the May 14 local level elections.
Byanjankar, who was also the Chairman of Lalitpur from the party, has registered his nomination this afternoon.
He was the only candidate recommended by the party.
UML leader Astha Laxmi Shakya said that the Rastriya Prajatantra Party would register its candidate for the post of deputy mayor as the UML and RPP have agreed to forge election alliance in Kathmandu and Lalitpur.
