The CPN-UML and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) have decided to forge electoral alliance for the local level election in Kathmandu and Lalitpur metropolitan cities.
According to CPN-UML chief whip Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal, the two parties have decided to forge electoral alliance in two metro cities. The two parties have agreed to pick UML candidates for the post of mayor and and RPP candidate for the post of deputy mayor in Kathmandu and Lalitpur. CPN-UML has picked Bidhya Sundar Shakya as its candidate for Kathmandu mayor.
Earlier in the day, RPP Chairman Kamal Thapa and CPN-UMLChairman KP Sharma Oli held at meeting at UML parliamentary party office.
