A cyclist was killed on Saturday evening after being struck by a Sumo jeep at Surunga Municipality – 7, Saptari along the East – West Highway.
42 – year – old Badri Sah of Malhanawa – 4 was killed after the Sumo with registration number plate – B R 30 P 1200 – rammed his cycle, according to Area Police Office, Kadorbana.
Meanwhile, seven persons were injured when a pickup van heading eastward met with an accident at Kanchanpura Municipality – 9. The pickup van (Ko 1 Ja 3489) swerved out of control over a punctured tyre and crashed into a bus (Sa 1 Ja 137) carrying a wedding procession.
The injured are being treated at Dharmeshwor Hospital at Theliya. Police have impounded both the vehicles. RSS
