President Bidya Devi Bhandari has granted approval to mobilise Nepal Army during the upcoming local level elections slated for May 14.
The President’s assistant spokesperson Prahlad Prasad Pudasaini informed that the approval to mobilise the army during the local polls was granted as per Article of 66 (2) of the constitution.
National Security Council on March 22 and cabinet on April 11 had decided to deploy Nepal Army for the security of the upcoming polls.
