A Taiwanese couple has been found 49 days after they went missing in northern Dhading.
The man was rescued alive while the woman was found dead near Somdang in Ruby Valley on Wednesday, police said.
Liang Sheng-yu and Liu Chen-chun went out of contact from Pangsang area on March 9 when there was a heavy snowfall in the district. They were on their way to Langtang in Rasuwa from Lawadung.
According to the rescuers, the couple had fallen off a cliff in Tyagrobhir area while they were trying to descend to the Somdang valley.
The victims’ relatives had also arrived in Nepal and searched them with the help of the trekking guides, security personnel and the locals.
The man’s father had chartered a helicopter to search for the missing couple.
