The Supreme Court on Monday ordered the Nepal Police to release Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Nawaraj Silwal.
Responding to a writ filed by lawyer Purna Prasad Rajbansi, a single bench of Chief Justice Sushila Karki issued the order this afternoon.
Rajbansi in the writ had claimed that DIG Silwal was apprehended and kept in the custody illegally.
