Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said the second phase of local elections will be conducted under a government led by Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba.
Briefing leaders about Saturday’s deal with the Sanghiya Gathabandhan at the headquarters meeting of the CPN (Maoist Centre) in Baluwatar, PM Dahal said on Sunday that he was ready to hand over the reins to Deuba after the May 14
phase of election is over, according to Maoist leader Mani Thapa.
“PM Dahal said he would abide by the agreement with the NC,” Thapa said, adding that the budget could be deferred by amending the charter in consensus with the major parties.
