Sita aircraft makes emergency landing, escapes accident

An aircraft of Sita Airlines bound for Lukla ariport made an emergency landing at Phaplu airport on Sunday. There was no reports of injuries but the aircraft sustained minor damage.
The aircraft with call sign 9 NHR that took off from Kathmandu had to make an emergency landing at Phaplu airport due to adverse climate. There were 17 people including three crew members on board.
According to the District Police Office, Solukhumbu, the wing of the aircraft has been cracked after it hit the wall of the airport while approaching emergency landing around 8:00 am.
There were 17 people including three crew members on board. Deputy Superintendent of Police, Madhav Prasad Budhathoki, said 12 passengers were foreigners. RSS
