A woman died after a truck hit a bike she was riding pillion at Kanchanrup Municipality-11 in Saptari district along the East-West Highway on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Anita Chaudhary, 25, of the same area.
The truck (Na 5 Kha 8559) heading towards west from east hit the motorbike (Me 7 Pa 437) this morning, according to the District Police Office, Saptari.
Critically injured in the incident, Chaudhary breathed her last during the course of treatment at the Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital in Rajbiraj.
The bike rider, however, sustained minor injuries.
Police said that they have impounded the truck and arrested its driver for investigation. RSS
