Addressing a Mid-Western regional security conference in Nepalgunj on Monday, the NC leader said that the constitutional procedure necessary to deploy Nepal Army personnel for the elections has already begun.
He, however, said that decisions of National Security Council (NSC) and Cabinet are essential in this regard.
Moreover, he also directed the heads of security agencies of Mid-Western region to make effective security arrangements for the elections.
“Some forces are hatching conspiracies to foil the elections,” he said, adding, “We should work keeping in mind the security of general public and to curb crimes.”
Minister Nidhi further said that personnel from Nepal Army, Armed Police Force (APF) and Nepal Police and National Investigation Department have been assigned their respective responsibilities to conduct the elections in free and fair manner.
