Four people, including two women, died after being struck by lightning in separate incidents over the past 24 hours in Dhankuta, Ilam and Makwanpur districts.
Chhatra Kumari Rai, 36, of Khalsa Chhintang Sahid Bhumi Village Council-1
and 24-year-old Krishna Rai of Tamrang, Sagurigadi-10 in Dhankuta; 22-year-old Sanjib Rai of Bagsila in Deumai Municipality-2, Ilam and Jayaram Titung of Betini in Bagmati-9 in Makwanpur died as the lightning hit their residences, according to police.
