The truck (Na 6 Kha 6561) en route to Hetauda from Narayanghat of Chitwan struck the car bearing an Indian registration number plate (B R 6 – D 5625) last night, killing the three on the spot, according to District Police Office, Makawanpur.
Two of the deceased have been identified. The police have identified them as Nitesh Kumar Singh, 39, and Sanjaya Kuma Sharma, 45, of Sitamani, India. The identity of another man is yet to be ascertained, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Bamdev Gautam, of District Police Office.
Ram Kumar Sharma was injured in the accident and is undergoing treatment at a medical college based in Chitwan. His condition is reported to be critical. The police have detained the truck driver and impounded the vehicle. RSS
