CPN-UML senior leader and former Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal on Saturday said that his party is against postponing and holding local level elections in two phases.
Addressing a programme organised in the Capital today, he said “The country will head towards conflict if the elections are postponed or held in two phases.”
The UML leader said that his party wants the local polls to be held on the announced date.
“Elections are essential to safeguard major political achievements made so far,” he further said.
